I’m not a mass-produced cheesball guy, habitually satisfied by going solo every weekend. I’d bet you probably never seen me blog on great dating and compatibility. Not a fan of the drama.

Boredom is an avoidable trait and totally absent from my man programming (man-gramming?). But I do have a tender heart. I’ll level with you, I had no choice but to end a 3-year relationship that meant something to me but truly would never last. Therefore one might go on record saying it has been ages since I was dating. I don’t have the great expectations I held years ago.

Being single is new and free. One thing is for sure, I refuse to lounge about, peacefully watching Jack Bauer (from 24) episodes off the torrents. The real reason for this case of weekend dating loneliness? The people I know are settling down, and everyone else is boring.

My go-getting football friend, Jim, who has never had dating boredom, sympathized because he is almost somewhere he can relate. He signed up for Great Expectations Phoenix. A bit out of character, but I take to chatting up sophisticated ladies who share my passions. Go figure, I got real about my dating life and paid the membership fee to get started.

Be honest, ya can’t be disappointed about not having plans when you haven’t called anyone. Like my senior year basketball coach Jason Neelon chimed in as his idea of encouragement, “If you don’t run you can’t score, sonny.”

I don’t know why he called me that. Regardles, the old man was on the money in a good old fashioned way. He was likable in all ways. This fun series of Dallas singles events I just went to might have done a number on his mind.

Last night at a Great Expectations happy hour I talked to dozens quality and desirable women that meet my eye. I truthfully had a good time with some indisputably incredible men and women. The evening ended following an exchange of digits, and even grew some political acquaintances for work. Success.

Take action. Can’t be happy if you don’t try. Listen to me and you might as well have great expectations for your dating life.

Cheers!

Caleb

This is a cool poem, check it out.Stranger in the night with such a familiar touch, I don’t know who you are but Ive missed you so much. The caress of your hand, and your soft gentle kiss, i wont stop you for i am not used to this. I recognize the voice that whispers in my and shivers down my spine, for when it does our bodies intertwine. The look in your eyes with so much desire, I’ve seen it before, I’ve felt this fire. My body gives in to your hypnotizing spell, its a sin to enjoy you, I must be in Hell. Clothes are thrown, sheets are tangled, would i consider this a love triangle? This feels like deja vu, I’ve felt this before, the kiss, your smell i once craved for/ You know exactly what i like, and how to make me feel brand new. No stranger can know these things, who the hell are you? Slowing down on loves roller coaster ride, watching the sun come up while the stranger hides. I looked over my shoulder with a heart filled with adore. you look back at me and ask, Babe why is our clothes on the floor??
